The nationwide nursing service thanked its employees for their commitment with individually designed socks as a Christmas surprise. The campaign not only struck a chord, but also went straight to the heart of everyday nursing care – with style, warmth and a twinkle in the eye.

How GIP gave its nursing staff a warm treat over the Christmas period

Who are you and what do you do?

We are an outpatient intensive care service and care for patients throughout Germany – either at home or in assisted living communities. GIP Gesellschaft für medizinische Intensivpflege mbH and GIP Intensivpflege Bayern mbH are among the best-known providers in the field of outpatient intensive care and respiratory care.

Our focus is on people – we combine professional care with everyday support. Our motto: “Back to life.”

How did you use the socks?

We are always on the lookout for small gestures that we can use to make our nursing staff happy – especially on special occasions. At Christmas time, we wanted to give a cozy, practical gift. And what could be better for home care in winter than warm, cozy socks?

Not just any socks, of course, but a specially designed GIP Intensive Care Special Edition. A real highlight for cold feet – and warm hearts.

How did the recipients react?

The reactions? Overwhelming! Our nursing staff were delighted with the colorful GIP socks – many wore them straight away with a smile.

One colleague even called them her “most comfortable work clothes yet”.

We had expected a lot of joy – but so much positive feedback really knocked our socks off! 😉

For which occasions could you imagine ordering socks again?

If a merchandising item is well received by us, it has a good chance of being permanently included in our range – and the GIP socks could definitely be that.
